US Govt charges 3 Chinese nationals with hacking and stealing of intellectual property

On Monday, the US Justice Department unsealed an indictment against three Chinese nationals in connection with cyberhacks and the alleged theft of intellectual property of three companies, but the Trump administration is stopping short of publicly confronting the Chinese government about its role in the breach.

The hacks occurred during both the Obama and Trump administrations. The charges being brought in Pittsburgh allege that the hackers stole intellectual property from several companies, including Trimble, a maker of navigation systems; Siemens, a German technology company with major operations in the US; and Moody's Analytics.

Amaerican rapper, Jay-Z leads the nominations for the 60th Grammy Awards that has just been annouced today with eight nods.

He’s followed by Kendrick Lamar, whose “DAMN.” album scored seven; Bruno Mars with six; and Childish Gambino (aka actor Donald Glover), newcomers SZA and Khalid, and producer No I.D. (who worked on “4:44”) with five each.

The rap icon was the only artist to score nods in the top three categories (record, album, and song of the year) for his 13th studio album, “4:44,” while Mars’ “24K Magic,” and Gambino’s “‘Awaken, My Love!'” each landed two noms in the general field.

Beyonce donned a thigh-skimming skirt that revealed her curvy physique. She paired it with a white top and a canary yellow jacket as she made her way across the airstrip.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that Dangote Group, Honeywell Group, and BUA Group will repair Apapa port as part of their corporate social responsibility, CSR.

"Dangote Group will carry out palliative works and reconstruction of some major sections of Apapa road; completion by June/July 2018," the official Twitter account of the Federal Government of Nigeria tweeted.

FBI fears there's a serial killer after a fourth victim was killed in Tampa, Florida

In the space of two weeks, 4 people have been murdered in the Seminole Heights neighborhood in Tampa, Florida.
Ronald Felton, 60, is the latest victim. He was shot from behind just a few blocks away from a memorial honoring the other victims on Tuesday. Anthony Naiboa, 20, Monica Hoffa, 32, and Benjamin Mitchell have all been killed days apart. Hoffa and Naiboa were shot dead within the space of ten days.

The Ogun state police command has arrested 24-year-old Ehioboh Lucky pictured above for allegedly impersonating billionaire businessman, Mike Adenuga, to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. In a statement released by the command's public relations officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect, an indigene of Edo state, opened a Facebook account with the name and picture of Mr. Adenuga to defraud innocent people. He was arrested after one of his victims identified as Abiola Ogunseye, went to the police to lodge a complaint after paying 'Mike Adenuga' N1 million to help him secure a job at NNPC.

Twitter removes verification on millions of users as it unveils new guidelines to get the blue 'tick'

Yesterday, Twitter began removing the verified check mark of some of its users as the company announced new guidelines for the verification program, and will remove verification from accounts that fall outside those rules.

According to the new rules, Tweeting content that incites hate and harassment, includes violent or dangerous behavior, or violates Twitter's rules, could lead to removal of the verification badge.

3 pastors facing life in prison for sex trafficking underage girls

Three Ohio pastors are facing life imprisonment for sex trafficking underage girls.
The Rev. Cordell Jenkins, 47, the Rev. Anthony Haynes, 38, and the Rev. Kenneth Butler, 37, were named in an 11-count superseding indictment handed up Tuesday by a federal grand jury charging them with conspiracy to sex traffic children. All three of them pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Michael Freeman, an assistant U.S. Attorney, told the court that if the men are convicted, prosecutors would recommend sentences of life in prison.
“These three men violated the trust of these children and the communities they purported to serve,” U.S. Attorney Justin E. Herdman said in a news release. “We are grateful for the courage of the victims and the dedication of our law enforcement personnel in bringing these men to justice.”
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, a girl who was just 14 when the conspiracy began in 2014 was sexually assaulted by all three men. Some of the sex acts are believed to have taken place at Greater Life Christian Center where Mr. Haynes was pastor.

Democrats introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump

On Wednesday, House Democrats introduced articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, though they acknowledged their efforts have no chance of success while Republicans control both houses of Congress.

Steve Cohen from Tennessee, introduced five articles of impeachment that include obstruction of justice for Trump's decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey, two emoluments clause violations, undermining the independence of the federal judiciary and undermining the freedom of the press. "The time has come to make clear to the American people and to this President that his train of injuries to our Constitution must be brought to an end through impeachment," he said.
