I am trying to bridge the gap between the backward North and the Southern parts of the nation- Emir of Kano says

"I choose to fight for the progress of Nigerians and suggest solutions to their problems. It's my duty to speak the truth about the ill-effects of conservative Muslims who are harming Islam rather than helping it.
I condemned their refusal to expand their knowledge outside their own religion and failure to realise that knowledge is power. I also correctly concluded denying the right to pursue scientific and technological knowledge and restricting people to Islamic knowledge is the best means of ensuring that Muslims in Northern Nigeria will be remain economically backward. I'm upset at the legion of beggars on the streets and is trying to bridge the gap between the backward North and the Southern parts of the nation.

Tyga detained by cops after driving around with no license plate on his £112k Mercedes (photos)

 27-year-old Rapper Tyga was on Tuesday detained by LAPD after being pulled over for allegedly driving his custom Mercedes G-Series, which sells for upwards of $112,000, with no license plates.

This was following a night out with a friend. Two police cars blocked the car on a side street after he was pulled over.



Tyga was seen having a brief conversation with a cop through the window of the car, before being asked to step out of his vehicle and taken away by a policeman. He was later seen handcuffed.

It's illegal to drive in California without license plates.

DSS foil planned attacks on US,UK embassies in Abuja by five ISIS linked Boko Haram members

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested five ISIS linked Boko Haram members alleged to have perfected plans to attack the United States and United Kingdom embassies in Abuja.

In a statement released by a DSS official, Tony Opuiyo today, the suspects were arrested in Benue State and the FCT.

Not long ago, Washington University introduced a class for students centered around the politics of Kanye West. Now, for his final lecture on the course this semester, Dr. Jeffrey McCune will use Kanye West in a case study for mental illness. 
Professor McCune explains the idea behind the lecture saying, 
'ultimately what I’m getting at in this lecture is not just about Kanye, it’s also about the larger notion of crazy and how we utilize it”.
He adds that 

I never collected $200m bribe in Malabu oil deal - Goodluck Jonathan

Former President Jonathan has debunked reports that he received the sum of $200m bribe from the Malabu oil deal.
Jonathan's denial comes after American news website, Buzzfeed, claimed in a report that he got $200m in the 2011 controversial sale of the oil block OPL 245 from indigenous oil company Malabu to Shell and ENI.
In a statement released yesterday through his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, he denied the allegation saying report was 'false in its entirety.'

Man kills his wife and one of her special needs pupils, 8, then turns the gun on himself

A teacher and an eight-year-old special needs student were killed on Monday April 10th, by the teacher's estranged husband at an elementary school in San Bernardino, California, US.

Karen Smith, 53, was in her classroom when her estranged husband, Cedric Anderson, 53, came in without a word and opened fire, reloading at least twice.
