Senate probes alleged plot to sack Saraki, Ekweremadu, others

The Senate has mandated its committe on Ethics, Priviledges and Public petitions to investigate the alleged plot by some of its members to sack the President, Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and other leaders of the chamber
.

Senator Obinna Ogba today told his colleagues during plenary that he has priviledged information that some aggrieved members of the house were working with some civil society and trade organizations to remove Saraki from office. 

Deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary, referred the matter to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions.
